Service Description

Excessive physical activity can cause deep muscular and joint distress. This massage helps to warm and relax the muscles and improve range of motion. This focus on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia. Most everyone needs more pressure in some areas and less in others. This occurs because muscle tissue that contains Trigger Points is more sensitive to pressure and can be tender to the touch. A trigger point is a tight area within muscle tissue that causes pain in other parts of the body. This is specifically designed to alleviate the source of the pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release. Deep tissue and trigger point massages are very similar. The difference is that deep tissue massage uses various traditional massage techniques to work the tissue, whereas trigger point massage is literally looking to manipulate or press on that one point that relieves tension in an entire area. A trigger point is a tight area within muscle tissue that causes pain in other parts of the body. A trigger point in the back, for example, may reduce referral pain in the neck. The neck, now acting as a satellite trigger point, may then cause pain in the head. The pain may be sharp and intense or a dull ache. Trigger point massage therapy is specifically designed to alleviate the source of the pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release. The results and benefits of trigger point massage are releasing constricted areas in the muscles thus alleviating pain. Deep breathing recommended for this kind of treatment.

Cancellation Policy

Your therapy times are reserved exclusively for you. I value your business and ask that you respect the scheduling policy. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance. Break Time Massage Therapy is exclusive only for military and their family and friends. [Cancellation Policy] I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In my desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored: 24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give me 24 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment. [No-shows] Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They may be charged for their “missed” appointment. [Late Arrivals] If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time. Freshen up before your treatment. Maintain a good personal hygiene.
