60minutes Trigger Point w/Hawaiian twist
Untying The Knot! The good hurt!
Service Description
This is designed to treat Trigger points which develop from either stress, repetitive or overuse of a muscle, trauma or accident, structural imbalance, improper stretching or no stretching before physical activity. When a muscle is overused or injured a contraction develops and knots occur. These knots develop when individual muscle fibers are over-stimulated and unable to release their contracted state. This contraction reduces blood flow resulting in a diminished supply of oxygen and a build up of metabolic waste. The contracted muscle (trigger point) reacts by sending out signals of pain. Trigger point is a type of massage therapy targeting areas of the muscles that have contracted and formed small, fibrous nodules that are tender to the touch, sometimes referred to as “knots.” Pressing on these points can also produce pain in other areas, sometimes quite a distance from the point of origin. This is called “referred pain.” Trigger point massage therapy is specifically designed to alleviate the source of the pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release. A trigger point is a tight area within muscle tissue that causes pain in other parts of the body. A trigger point in the back, for example, may produce referral pain in the neck. The neck, now acting as a satellite trigger point, may then cause pain in the head. The pain may be sharp and intense or a dull ache. It also releases constricted areas in the muscle to relieve pain and help you regain mobility. Similar to deep tissue massage, this type of therapy may not be a relaxing process but it can significantly relax your muscles and release tension, often after just one session. Type of condition: Sciatica Frozen shoulder Stiff neck Chest pain Back of thigh and knee pain Gluteal pain Headache pain Upper, Mid-back, lower back pain Elbow, wrist and hands pain Calf, ankle and foot pain The results and benefits of trigger point massage are releasing constricted areas in the muscles thus alleviating pain. You can experience a significant decrease in pain after just one treatment. Receiving massage with trigger point therapy on a regular basis can help naturally manage pain and stress from chronic injuries. Deep breathing recommended for this kind of treatment.
Cancellation Policy
Your therapy times are reserved exclusively for you. I value your business and ask that you respect the scheduling policy. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance. Break Time Massage Therapy is exclusive only for military and their family and friends. [Cancellation Policy] I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In my desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored: 24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give me 24 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment. [No-shows] Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They may be charged for their “missed” appointment. [Late Arrivals] If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time. Freshen up before your treatment. Maintain a good personal hygiene.
